From Racetracks to Boardrooms

”Was an MBA worth it? What is an MBA anyway? I’ve heard it stands for marriage break up assistant”

From standing trackside at the Korean Formula 1 Grand Prix, studying economics in hotels in Sri Lanka, to presenting to Executive teams as a management consultant, and finally into the fitness world launching my own business, I rode the rollercoaster that is the life of a part-time MBA student.

During this time, I made some very distinct career changes; drank a lot of coffee; questioned why I was doing an MBA an infinite number of times; ran two half marathons; completed the Oxfam 100km Trailwalker event blister free; found lifelong friendships; learnt a lot about myself, the world and business; and came out the other end with new perspectives, and a few scars. Scars that sit with me for all the right reasons.

In 'From Racetracks to Boardrooms… was an MBA worth it?' I take you on my rollercoaster journey recounting everything “between the lines” of my MBA experience. I provide an insight into what the MBA is like and the journey that I took. In doing so, hoping to help you make your own decision about whether the experience is for you.
